Navarre begins university entrance tests today
  • Selectivity tests will take place between 23 and 26 June, and will be more special than in previous years. Students and teachers will need to adopt specific health measures and will be able to choose from more questions so that the interruption of classroom classes in the third evaluation does not increase the gap between students.

The selectivity tests will be carried out from 10:00 in the morning on the campuses of Pamplona and Tudela and at the Institutes of the Region of Pamplona (Baso, Iturrama, Plaza de la Cruz and Zizur).

Health measures

People with coronavirus symptoms will not be able to approach the area and family members will not be able to come, except in the case of students with functional diversity. Before sitting, the hands should be washed with hydroalcoholic gel and after each examination the cleaners should disinfect the room. These recommendations have been transferred by the Ministry of Health and Education to the autonomous communities and have suggested that it is better to open and decentralize more exam centers to avoid agglomerations and that students move less away from their homes. From there, each autonomous community has determined the way to perform the selectivity in its territory and Navarre is the first community of the Spanish State to perform the examinations, so the rest will be pending.

More questions to choose from

The debates generated by selectivity each year have multiplied this year due to the interruption of classroom classes by the confinement, due to the increase of the gap between the students and the greater inequality of opportunities.

In the university entrance tests, the implementation of more candidate questions has been the most used way to compensate for the difficulties students have had in this third trimester to work the contents. In theory, those who wish will be able to perform the tests without selecting any third trimester topics, selecting the topics from the previous evaluations.

In the exams of Navarra, for example, in the course of Chemistry there will be ten questions, grouped in two, in five blocks. Students can choose five questions, even if they are from the same block.

In the CAV, on 6 July, including in BEC

The CAV tests will be held on 6 July and in view of the accumulation of people, the Basque Government has made the opposite point, as a large BEC pavilion of Barakaldo will be one of the headquarters of the selectivity tests.
