The Government of Navarre will not appeal to the Supreme Court's ruling on the case of young Marvels
  • The 22 young people indicted for the occupation of the Marqués de Rozalejo Palace were acquitted by the National Court. The government has ensured that it will "learn" from this case, which has criminal consequences.

That is what the Presidency and Interior Minister, Javier Remírez, said in response to a question from Navarra Suma in the plenary of the foral parliament. He acknowledged that "the judge did not deny the existence of the occupation of the property", but did not see evidence that the defendants conformed to the "vocation of permanence" provided by law for this crime.

For this reason, Remírez has anticipated that, from now on, "the proceedings will be reviewed in order to adapt them to the jurisprudence of the Supreme Court as to the necessary evidence", although he has reiterated that the Government will not appeal the judgment because in the higher instance it is not possible to present new evidence and thus "has no possibility of estimating them".
