The report was presented on Thursday by the Navarre Education Advisor, Carlos Gimeno, and the director of the Social Reality Observatory, Luis Campos. The survey has been sent to 28,000 ESO students, of whom 1,156 have received a reply. The counselor has indicated that this sample is "statistically very significant", and has noted that it "contributes a lot".
The survey reveals that 63% of young people do not know what GAL is, although they do know. Another 19% knows, but does not know how to concretize it. That is, 82% do not know it, only 11% answer yes. As far as concrete actions are concerned, only 2% remember any.
73% of students said they do not know "terrorist acts committed by extreme right-wing groups or extortion they have suffered". On the contrary, ETA’s knowledge is different: 57% know it; 9% say no and 29% know it, but they do not know how to concretize it. Therefore, 38% of respondents do not know what ETA is. 29% of respondents recall some concrete action by ETA.
NAIZ has put the full survey report on the network.
