It is not a joke how important it is to give to the TAV, since if the Spanish Congress approves the budgets as such, 69% of the investment of the Spanish Government in Navarre in 2023 will go to the TAV. Of these, EUR 62.8 million will be allocated to the construction of the Zaragoza–Asturias-Euskal line and EUR 8.1 million to the corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network.

In general, Navarre will receive more of the state’s general budgets than last year – EUR 77 million – and will invest more in the APR – almost 53 million. And although what you want to spend is a lot, the investment so far does not reach the 10% needed to complete the project. According to the study published in 2020 by the Spanish Independent Tax Liability Authority (Airef), 96.2% of the outstanding investment in the APR of Navarra.

Madrid does not have enough money to make the TAV of Navarra as quickly as it would like, but from there and from here they are being tested. Another example is that by 2026 it will allocate an additional EUR 140 million from the Nex Generation Funds to this infrastructure.

For the Basque Y there is no provision for large investments. The Basque Country will receive EUR 558 million from the general state budgets in 2023, always in anticipation, of which 34.6 million will go to the TAV.
