Nafarroa Oinez to reclaim the official status of Basque throughout Navarre
  • The Ikastola Andra Mari by Etxarri Aranatz presented the song “Nafarroa osoa bai!” on Tuesday, along with the Oinez Txokoa of San Fermín. The music was composed by Joseba Tapia and the lyrics were made by Maddalen Arzallus.

The pegagoco director of Andra Mari Ikastola, Iñigo Orella, pointed out in the presentation that the song denounces the zoning of the Basque country seen in Navarra. “In all the Navarre yes!” says the song, asking for officiality for all the peoples. In addition, they present the details of the Oinez Txokoa program: Concerts and activities in Pamplona for San Fermín.

The music was composed by the trikitilari Joseba Tapia and the letter was made by bertsolari Maddalen Arzallus, although it was a joint work. They've worked with other musicians. Singing: Olaia Inziarte, Nerea Erbiti and Maider Ansa de Navarra; Leire Letu and Kristina Aranzabe de Gipuzkoa. With instruments: Jon Celestino with trumpet; Amets Aznarez, Eneko Urrestarazu and Arkaitz Nagore with thrombons; Ibon Irixoa with saxophone; Iker Uriarte with battery; Xanti Etxeberria bajo and Peio Skalari as sound and percussion technician. It was recorded in the Studio Bat! of Arbizu.

The video clip was made by Airworks at Dronetikan de Salvatierra, with images of the Sakana. The ikastola is in Etxarri Aranatz, but the students go from different locations, so they have recorded in other places like Arbizu, Arruaza or Lizarragabengoa.
