Refusal to play with the selections of Spain and France

Spain, France, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Cuba are participating in the Basque World Championship organized by the International Federation of Basque Ball. It is precisely at the event held on 29 June in the Beltzenia fronton of Hendaia that half a hundred pelotaris reported that they have refused to play with the selections of Spain and France. Amaia Larralde and Ekhi Ziarrusta have appeared in Pamplona/Iruña to denounce that, as far as the official selection is concerned, "nothing" has not been advanced.

The Pelotaris have made three requests, and the Pelotaris have been unable to do anything. On the one hand, they have asked the International Federation to facilitate the way for the Basque selection to achieve the official status; on the other hand, political parties that support the official status, "especially the PNV and EH Bildu", to "move from words to deeds"; and, finally, to the Basque and Navarra federations, as well as to the Iparralde Ball Committee, to "take steps forward".
