From this Thursday and within a year, the Municipality of Mundaka will not authorize the construction of new tourist homes. The government team of the City Council approved at its extraordinary meeting on Thursday the modification of the PGOU to regulate tourist uses. In a statement, the foral institution has announced the suspension of new tourist use licenses for tourist homes and apartments within one year.
According to Naiz, the Planning Technician has detailed that Hiriko has hired the architecture firm to make changes to the PGOU. In this process, the City Hall advances: "There will be participation of agents and citizens, and it will be the government team that guides and manages it, with the support of the drafting team".
For its part, the Municipality of Mundaka also referred to the situation of the rental of existing housing and tourist housing, noting that, within the scope of its powers, it will ensure compliance with the "applicable rules, both in specific aspects and in terms of tax effects".
