The Bexen cooperative of the Mondragon Group receives from the Government of Spain the commission to make 10 million face masks

So far, the only one who made filter masks was Sibol.

The company Sibol, which until now was the only one manufacturing face masks with filters, was taken out by the manufacturer of Vault lounges, according to the information. One in the Basque Country, one in the Spanish State and one in Europe. Since the coronavirus crisis, 16,000 face masks have been produced a day and 14 new contracts have been made for this purpose. It has linked part of the production to Osakidetza.

It is based in Zamudio, but its owner is Italian: In June 2019, the Italian house Spasciani Spa purchased the full property of the French group Delta Plus Group, which dominated Sibole since 2006.

Tag Dies

On March 25, GipuzkoaGaur announced that Tag Troqueles de Villabona is dedicated to the manufacturing of dies and masks for the graphic, cardboard and parcel industry. Until then, plotter and polyester had been used to make face masks for Osakidetza. In the first days they expected to make 1,000 face masks and take them to health centers in the area: San Sebastián, Tolosa e Irún.

Paloma Workshop

The Usoa Workshop has begun to produce 10,000 face masks at the request of the City Hall of Barakaldo, according to published 20 minutes on 25 March. 600 face masks are made daily and all of them will be made available to Osakidetza. People with disabilities work at the Usoa Workshop.

Bexen medical manufactures 10 million face masks

On March 29, the Basque Country Irratia gave the news and in the course of it they interviewed a member of Bexen, a cooperative of the Mondragon Group. The company, based in Hernani, has produced medical supplies in the last 40 years and will be manufacturing face masks in April in collaboration with the Assembly company of the Mondragón group. The Department of Health of the Basque Government has commissioned Spain to produce 10 million face masks. To do so, they will have to make new contracts.
