Sortu shows up in Pamplona against the military presence of the COVID-19 fingerprint
  • Sortu has called in Navarre for the military of the Spanish Army to be used as trackers in Navarre, with a banner hanging on the roof of the Refena fair in Pamplona: “It was the military. We need investment in health, not military.”

The action took place this Monday morning and Sortu explained on Twitter that "with the excuse of the pandemic they want to put the Spanish military in order to "mourn the militarization of public life and the dependence of Spain". Navarre is the territory of the Insumission.”

“Previously, according to Sortu, they were moved to perform disinfection work. On this occasion they come to carry out COVID-19 screening work. Navarre has said many times, out loud, that he does not want a single military, that he does not need a single military. Citizenship must be put at the centre, and care must be taken for citizenship. To do so, we need resources for health, measures that promote public employment.”

Refena is one of the main focuses of the fight against COVID-19 in Navarre, as since March most of the PCR tests are being carried out in Navarre. Currently, the Government of Navarre has some 175 traces of virus monitoring among the infected population, but in early September the Government of Navarre requested assistance from the military to carry out monitoring of the virus.”
