“Caja Navarra has become like all the boxes in Spain,” said Sanz in the committee of inquiry and denied the corruption cases that were published in relation to CAN, in statements collected by the News Journal.

“Taking advantage of the emotional situation that the crisis caused in society, as well as the corruption scandals that occurred in some boxes, some have tried to link Caja Navarra with these kinds of processes and scandals, trying to convey that there has been a scandal about the lack of those who ruled CAN, which is absolutely false,” said Sanz.

Colonel, who ruled Navarre with the help of UPN, has repeatedly denied that there has been a case of corruption in Navarre and has described as "political interests" the source of this type of complaint.

Sanz criticized the slogans that "some group from the radical Abertzale left" used, since from this sector it has been suggested that information about everything that happened with the can is not yet available to all citizens. “There has been nothing hidden, no one is unaware of anything and the process that the CAN has carried out not only affects the CAN,” the right-wing politician explained.

In his view, the economic crisis forced the recapitalisation of the banks, “that is, to increase their funds in quantity and in quality, and to this end it has been necessary, and obligated by law, to convert the banks into banks. This has happened in all the boxes in Spain, in each and every one of them,” said Sanz.

In this process, Sanz said that CAN did not go wrong and regretted those who criticized the decisions that ended the decision to leave Navarre without the public purse, while at the same time accusing society of promoting a "debate with political interests".
