- Recently, the man of Miranda de Ebro has been sentenced to six months in prison for hanging a cat in the street and, in this regard, has several causes open for threats to members of the animal protector.
On this occasion, he has been imprisoned for a crime of gender-based violence against his former partner in recent days, according to the Journal of Burgos. The man entered with violence and a large knife at the victim's home after being persecuted for several months.
Provisional prison
The 38-year-old aggressor fled before the agents arrived at the house. The 37-year-old woman was transferred to a health centre where she was treated for an anxiety attack, according to the Basque Department of Security. He then lodged a complaint indicating that he had suffered physical and psychological ill-treatment throughout the time he was a couple and, after the breakdown of the relationship, the detainee continued to harass the woman and her environment, piercing the wheels of a friend's car.
According to the security forces, the girl was "at an extreme risk level", so a special device was set up to protect her. In addition, the search for the aggressor was intensified until his arrest, when he was arrested by the police. However, the magistrate released him with an order to leave the victim, according to the same source.
Three days later, in the early morning of 21 May, agents of the Local Police of Miranda de Ebro stopped a tourism that performed strange maneuvers, with obvious symptoms of drunkenness in their driver. At the time, the driver was the man himself and, according to the Journal of Burgos, he told the agents his intention to murder his former partner with an aggressive attitude. In addition, three white weapons were found on the vehicle in which the agents travelled.
The National Police appeared at the victim's home to verify his/her state of health and state of health. The girl was very upset, because hours before the aggressor had violated the door to enter the house, although at that time the woman was not at home. For this reason, the police arrested the man, accused of a crime of threats and of breaking an order of removal. In this case, the judge ordered his entry into provisional prison, as reported by the Basque Department of Security.
