The decision has been taken by the National Hearing, which investigates the case. The final judgment on the Alsasua case will be known at the beginning of March of this year. On 23 January, the court hearing to review the judgment was held in the appellate chamber, as both the defence and the prosecutor appealed the judgment of this court in the oral trial. The eight young people of Alsasua were sentenced on 1 June to a total of 79 years in prison. One of them was sentenced to two years in prison and the rest was sentenced to between nine and thirteen years for participating in the altercation he held in 2016 with two civil guards and his partners in the Koska bar.
The implementation room is composed of judges José Ramón Navarro, Enrique López and Eloy Velasco for the Supreme Court. As confirmed to Europa Press by legal sources, the judges have taken a decision and have agreed on the argument of the judgment on the case. The paper is chaired by the president of the National Audience, José Ramón Navarro. Now they're writing the Txotena and they say they can do it in two weeks.
The judgment of the National Court can only be appealed to the Supreme Court.
