Morocco stops taking care of the border with Spain by serving the leader of the Polisario Front in Logroño
  • Over 5,000 people have crossed the border of Morocco to the Spanish colony of Ceuta and a third of them are minors. Morocco has opened its border because Brahim Ghali, head of the Polisario Front for the liberation of the Sahara, was treated in a hospital center in Logroño (Spain). The National Police are evacuating those who have arrived in Ceuta, where more than 1,500 people have already been deployed.

Polisario Front leader Brahim Ghali moved to Spain in late April and was treated at a hospital in Logroño. Although Morocco has not recognized it at the moment, it is believed that the answer given to it is that which took place on the night of 17 May: It has reassured the border with Ceuta, the Spanish colony. As a result, thousands of people have crossed the border: most swimming and many walking. Most have been formed on the beach of Ceuta and in the outer industrial area, very few have entered the city.

The objective of the Spanish Government is to send "as soon as possible" those arriving in Ceuta and more than 1,500 people have already been evicted. A total of 150 police officers and 50 civilian guards will be sent to Ceuta and transferred to the City.
