Two people stay suspended on the Aranzadi Bridge of Pamplona and cut traffic for three hours in favor of gaztetxe

At 16:00 this Wednesday, in defense of the gaztetxe Marvels of Pamplona, they have closed the Aranzadi bridge that crosses the Arga River with the motto “It is not a gaztetxe. It’s a way to understand the world,” he said with a banner. Two people have hung from the bridge, shouting at the gaztetxe and the occupied spaces. The members of the Gaztetxe Marvels have read from a feminist perspective: “We want to demand an anticapitalist and autonomous feminism, against private property and in favor of free spaces. (…) On this occasion we put our body in defense of the gaztetxes, of which we have always been a part and which have always been our liberation”.

Once the action has been made public, the National Police has been on the spot and has closed the Aranzadi Bridge. It has been closed for about three hours. The two friends who were hanging have been evicted by 19:00 in the afternoon. They have not been arrested.

 

Cycling march

On Thursday, the Gaztetxe Marvels organized a cycling march in defense of gaztetxe with the aim of mobilizing around the city. At 18:00 in the afternoon they will meet in Navarrería, and the police forces have invited anyone who rejects their attitude to the youth.

Demonstration on Saturday

On 19 January, a demonstration in favour of the gaztetxe will be held in Pamplona/Iruña. The march will start at 17:00 in the afternoon from the Town Hall Square. Lehendakari has appealed to young people from all over Euskal Herria to attend the appointment.
