The man who assaulted former President Sara Majarenas and her daughter will not enter prison, after the Provincial Court of Valencia has decided to continue in provisional freedom after the hearing held at the Provincial Court. Messinezis went out in the street last February, considering that the instruction phase "has been prolonged with time".

The Prosecutor’s Office and its relatives opposed this decision, but Naiz.eus has published that the attacker will remain at liberty, at least until the trial is held in July, according to the court’s order. According to this medium, the National Court has taken this decision by considering that "no risk of leakage has been identified".

Family members of Majarenas appeared last Monday at a press conference to denounce that this decision assumes that the prisoner and his daughter have serious limitations to lead their daily lives normally and that they are in "a state of emergency".
