Concentration in Donostia-San Sebastian to denounce that the aggressor of the daughter of Majarenas will remain at liberty
  • The man who, two years ago, attempted to murder the daughter of Sara Majarenas, Izar, has been at liberty since February 15. At this Wednesday's hearing, Majarenas' defense and his daughter has called for the man to remain in prison until trial, also knowing that the aggressor has recognized the aggression and will be punished. However, the judge has decreed that he can continue to be released and the platform Sara Izarrekin has called a protest rally for Thursday afternoon.

Under the motto Hau ez da justizia (this is not justice), the demonstration will be held before the Court of Donostia-San Sebastián. The aggressor will remain out of prison and in the meantime, Majarenas and his daughter will have to endure several measures: from now on they will have to remain in custody, with the wrists of telematic control, and the mother will have to inform the Ertzaintza of Izar’s movements.

Sara Majarenas’ defence does not understand the judge’s decision or how the prosecutor has not requested pre-trial detention.

Stytianos Messinezis assaulted him two stab wounds on Izar's back, 2 years old, in January 2017. It was he who confessed what he had done to his daughter when she showed up at the police station. He said he had killed his daughter, but when the ambulance and the police had left, Izar was serious but alive. After surgery in the hospital, he was admitted to the intensive care unit with a severe prognosis.
