Thousands of people approach Amini's grave despite trying to close the Iranian police road
  • 40 days after the death of the Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini by Iranian police violence. Since then, the police have killed more than a hundred protesters in the protests and arrested 1,000. Wednesday is the last day of mourning in Kurdish culture and hundreds of people gather in their homeland.

On Wednesday, 40 days have passed since the Iranian police killed Mahsa Amin and thousands of people have met in their hometown, Saquez, in Kurdistan, to pay tribute and denounce the crimes of the authorities. The day of mourning 40 is the last of the stage in Kurdish culture.

The Iranian Government has closed the road to the city and hardened the security forces by filling the city with police on Wednesday. This has caused thousands of people to move on the road to the graveyard.

Amini was arrested by the Iranian police on 13 September for wearing the veil badly dressed. Police were taken from the house to the hospital in a coma and died after three days.

Since then, numerous Iranian cities have begun protests, the strongest in recent years os.La police have responded strongly and killed more than a hundred protesters and arrested a thousand people.

On the occasion of the end of the mourning, several agents announced that the authorities had threatened the Amini family not to pay tribute.
