Luzia Goñi was born in Aizarotz, Basaburua, in 1928. He started working from a very young age and worked in various trades, as he himself said, living "many misfortunes." Despite not being received from his family, from a young age he became fond of the Bertsos: when he was young he worked at the Retegi bar of Errenteria, and he became fond of listening to the Bertsolaris who were going to sing there. He was currently living in Tirapu.
He wrote hundreds of verses and some even sang, but like most women of his time, he didn't just go to the public square. He never suddenly sang his written verses, yes, sometimes in public. In any case, he pioneered and left a rich harvest in written verses.
The Navarre Association of Bertsozales made the recognition in 2017, giving the opportunity to Julio Soto, winner of the Bertsolaris Championship of Navarra that same year, to put the txapela in the sports club Anaitasuna. Last year, the Euskera Service and the Equality Area of the City of Pamplona organised an exhibition at the Condestable Palace, in which fourteen women from Navarra participated, including Luzia Goñi.
==Death==On Sunday, he died at his home in Tirapu, at the age of 91. And on Sunday, in the ETB-1 Hitzetik Hortzera program, EiTB gave him an interview he did recently.
