Diplomatic struggle is another face of war. Since Russia invaded Ukraine, many countries have taken such decisions, such as the dismissal of diplomats or the closure of consulates.

In total, the Russian Federation has expelled four diplomats from Lithuania, three from Estonia and three from Latvia, among others. According to the EU Ministry of Foreign Affairs, redundancies have taken place under the principle of reciprocity.

On 19 March, three Baltic republics brought down ten Russian diplomats and Bulgaria ten Russian diplomats in the Balearic Islands.
