At least two people have died on the platform called Nohoch-A, in the Gulf of Mexico, one of the structures that most exploits underwater oil. Construction is managed by the Pemex organization of the Mexican government, which according to data from 2021 generated more than two million barrels of oil a day.

Last Friday, a few hours early in the morning, there was the disaster on the marine oil platform, an burned stretch that exploded. It is not an isolated case: on a similar maritime platform, in Mexico, five people disappeared in February as a result of a fire and three serious people had to be hospitalized. Two years ago, five people died in an explosion.
