The defenses of Barbado and Zelaia now have the possibility of appealing the judgment to the National Court.

The judge has been Angela Murillo, known in the Basque Country for her role in case 18/98 and because in 2017 she said she did not believe in the disarmament of ETA. The prosecutor is also not unknown to us: José Perals worked in the case of the young people of Altsasu.

The young Alaveses were arrested two years ago for their alleged connection to a drum containing explosive material and were arrested in Vitoria-Gasteiz. They were six months in prison and have since been held on probation.

"What is judged is our political militancy: what role we have had on the Abertzale left, in what acts we have been with, with whom ... The report shows that this is an operation that has been cooked for years," Galder Barbado himself reported in ARGIA, a couple of days before the beginning of the case.

Stop Violence!

On the eve of the process, stop cruelty! The platform was born with the objective of showing its support to Barbado and Zelaia. Called by the platform, mobilizations and a campaign of adhesions to the repress concentration have been carried out. The members of the platform have claimed that they will not accept any other sentence other than the acquittal.
