Organizers recognize that they expect to be a big party. The day will start with a parade and there will be no lack of great popular food, games for the youngest, dances, rounds or concerts.

On the other hand, berets, shirts and skirts encourage citizens to come out of the closet, as they want to see people dressed in baserritarra taking the streets. To do this, a special red scarf has been designed and sold in all localities along with food bonuses.

This initiative comes from the hand of the Altaffaylla Cultural Foundation and the Ageraldia Association, but progress is made with the help of groups or people that promote the Basque Country and the Basque culture in different localities of the area. Associations of Artajona, Beire, Larraga, Mendigorria, Kaparrotsu, Falces, Baldorba or Miranda de Arga have participated in the organization.

“With this festival we want to show that the Basque Country and its culture are as ours as those of the rest of the Basque Country. We want to reflect the brilliance and beauty of our identity through a joyful and spectacular day: dances, bertso, jack, cuisine, songs, costumes… We have a lot to show with pride,” the organizers said.

As for language, “715. And so do the organizers.

Value public works

In the area of the Ager of Navarra it has been decided to organize a Basque festival to bring to value all the work that popular movements do to promote culture and language. “Many times we don’t realize the number of people in our environment working for the Basque Country,” the organizers said. Groups for the Basque Country, organizers of Euskara Eguna, commissions of Korrika, dantzaris, txistularis, zanpantzar, cultural groups, carnivals, Olentzero and Maridomingi…
