- Egogain workers, following a struggle of almost two years, were locked at the factory entrance on March 2. In particular, a new plant with fewer workers has been opened since that same day, to the detriment of working conditions and the dignified care that adult people deserve. The action was taken to denounce the tax attitude of the Provincial Council and its contempt for workers and residents.
According to the workers themselves, "Egogain workers have not been silent in this long battle that will last for almost two years, let alone! But they have lost fellow travellers, because 18 colleagues have been forced by the situation, that is, by the direction of precariousness and exploitation that the Deputy has taken".
In the words of the workers, "the PNV and the PSE that govern the Deputation make a farce: 'Persona por Fin', 'Gipuzkoa now', 'Building the future'… pure marketing. Egogain is a clear indicator of the reality that this government team is building; surveillance is becoming a business, leaving public services at the disposal of subcontractors. Likewise, as care is a feminized sector, rejecting the women we work. Egogain workers will continue to fight for a job and a decent life, we will continue to be an example of struggle."
