The accident took place at 07:00 in the morning at the company Talleres Berasategui in Arrigorriaga. Eitb.eus states that the operator has died after falling from the height at which he was working. The deceased worker is a 56-year-old neighbor of Llodio, who has been taken to Donostia Hospital.

On Wednesday and Thursday, there have been two deaths, one for each deceased worker. The British carrier died last Wednesday in the port of Pasaia (Gipuzkoa). With the death of Thursday, this year will be 23 people who died in an occupational accident in the Basque Country.
