A worker died last Monday at the refractory company Kelsen in Aduna (Gipuzkoa) after suffering a non-traumatic occupational accident and head trauma. The worker suffered a heart attack while working.
According to the LAB trade union, of the 21 occupational accidents that have occurred in 2021, five have not been traumatic. In this regard, he warned that such accidents at work have become the main cause of occupational deaths, and are mainly due to certain occupations and conditions. The union has stated that "work pressure, stress or work rhythms" are determining factors, "together with working and living conditions".
"Occupational accidents, whether traumatic or non-traumatic, are not the result of chance or chance, they are the result of labor relations, precariousness, labor regulations, subcontracting and the current labor market", he concluded.
