Aides of disabled students in Baiona decide to strike because they have "poor working conditions" and "low wages". They denounce that when working during school hours they have to make partial days: “In addition, we receive no remuneration for the preparation time.” Their salary is around EUR 900 a month, below the French poverty barrier.

FSU-Snuipp and FO strike at the headquarters of the Academic Inspectorate in Baiona. The organization receives news: “It’s hard to strike because we have very poor working conditions.”

"We have repeatedly asked the Ministry to get out of precariousness and to ensure a better professional future, and we have been denied these urgent measures," said the FSU. To improve the situation, FSU-Snuipp urges the French Ministry of Education to give employees official status after three years with undefined contracts and wage increases. They also call for the suspension of conciliation and the provision of full-time jobs. It indicates that the aim from now on is for those who want to be able to work all the time.
