- Ibon Etxeberria, a member of the LABI and a member of the Department of Health of the Basque Government, has recognised that he went to run from Bilbao to Mungia (both municipalities in the red area) to the golf course. The latest LABI order prohibits the change of location for outdoor sport, but Etxeberria has done the opposite. The Health Advisor, Gotzone Sagardui, announced the cessation of Etxeberria at the press conference following the Governing Council on 9 February.

According to the latest CAPV Ordinances of 25 January, it is not allowed to go to the adjacent municipality for sport or outdoor physical activity, except in the case of professional or semi-professional sports.
However, Etxeberria says that he has done nothing wrong, and to do so he argues that if we call ourselves the Zuzenean service of the Basque Government and ask ourselves whether we can go to the neighbouring town of the red zone to do outdoor sport, the answer is yes, but those criteria have not yet been updated in the official documents.
The Minister of Health, Gotzone Sagardui, said that if there were different criteria for interpreting the "small print" of the decree that prohibits travel between localities, the wording of the text will have to be revised. "We disagree with his interpretation of the [Etxeberria] rule, and that's why we're going to dismiss that director."
