Last Monday, the 173 workers in La Naval were informed that they were on the street according to the court ruling. The judge considers that the termination of the employment contract is "in accordance with the law" by the Labor Authority, according to the news journal.

Faced with these redundancies, the workers held an assembly this Tuesday morning to decide what follow-up and what consequences to give to the mobilisations. At 11:30, on the other hand, a demonstration will be held from the Plaza Elíptica de Bilbao. On the other hand, on 15 March they will meet in Madrid with the Ministry of Industry to analyse the situation of workers.

A total of 150 workers will be able to access the public shipyard Navantia, whose antecedent was La Naval privatized as workers of the public company Izar. Although they were promised to be given jobs, the jobs would be outside the Basque Country: Cartagena, Cádiz and Ferrol. These three shipyards are also at risk of being evicted, as reported by the Basque Department of Security.
