Inflation has broken records and the CPI remains at historical peaks not experienced in 30 years in the Spanish state.
The price of food has increased by 13.8%. Oils and fats have increased 24%, eggs 22.4%, milk 25.6% and cereals 21.7%. Bread, beef, poultry, dairy, potatoes and their preparations have increased by more than 15%.
In addition to the shopping cart, citizens’ pockets are also being shaken by other consumptions. Over the past year, heating, electricity and water supplies have increased by 47.2 per cent. The price of fuel has fallen slightly since July, but compared to last year, the passage through the petrol station has increased by 24.7%. Housing has also increased by 24.8 per cent since last year and 3.6 per cent since July, due to the increase in electricity prices.
