Launch the Kortovirus Filmfest to combat isolation with creativity
- The initiative was born in Irun, where Ramón Zabalegi and Laura Morin shared with their friends the short film recorded at home and thought about spreading the idea. Starting from the theme “as at home nowhere”, Kortovirus Filmfest wants to put us in the role of filmmaker now that we are in the lockdown.
The festival has two objectives, as Zabalegi explained in the Word of the Bidasoa: on the one hand, “to give strength to creation in such a strange situation and make it more sustainable”; and on the other, “to stress that communication is a way to maintain communication between us, not to feel so alone and to do beautiful things”.
The films will last for a maximum of two minutes and may be sent until this Saturday to the following address: coronafilms2020@gmail.com. The theme, “as at home nowhere.”
As far as possible, all the short films will be published and the winner will choose the theme of the second edition of the competition.
