The institutional LABI today announced that it will make several measures more flexible to deal with the coronavirus. These changes will apply on 1 September and will mainly affect their capacity.

The maximum occupancy will increase from 35% to 60% from Wednesday. The only exception is hospitality: the capacity will be 50% in bars and restaurants, but the number of people who can meet at the table will vary from six to eight. The ban on standing or bar consumption is maintained.

At social, cultural or sports events, 600 people will be able to meet in closed spaces and 800 people in open spaces. In spaces with a capacity of between 600 and 5,000 persons, 800 can also be assembled if it is a closed enclosure, if the capacity is open, up to 1,200 can be accessed. In areas with more than 5,000 persons, the limit will be 30 per cent. This is the case for football stadiums, as their capacity will rise from 20% to 30%.

Use of the kiss

At Monday's meeting, the LABI has already announced other amendments to the whole tabled by the trade unions. As for the use of the mask, it will be mandatory in beaches and pools when the interpersonal distance of two meters cannot be met.

Those who have passed the disease, they don't have quarantine.

With the update of the epidemiological surveillance protocol, exceptions to quarantine have also been announced. They will affect people who have passed the coronavirus six months before: if they have had close contact with a person who has tested positive in the past 180 days, but if they are asymptomatic, they will not have to quarantine. However, they have called for increased use of the mask in social interactions.
