Irailean estreinatuko da 'Oreina', lehenbizi Zinemaldian eta gero aretoetan.

Koldo Almandoz is a long-time director who has distinguished himself so far in the field of short films. He has combined documentary, experimental and fiction works throughout his career, participating in several international festivals, including the Critics’ Week in Cannes, the International Festival in Rotterdam, Havana or Tehran with his works over the past 20 years.

The deer will be the first full-length work of fiction to premiere, but the San Sebastian Film Festival is not unknown to his films. Without going any further, last year with the short Plágan he was in the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section and also in 2016 he played with Sipo Phantasma.

If you look at the team of this second film you can see that some professionals have repeated it with Almandoz in Oreina, among them the photographic director Javier Agirre and the editor Laurent Dufreche, winners of the Goya Awards of the Spanish Film Academy in Gran.

"The work of Almandoz will show us different characters from an urban periphery that unites the city, the industrial environment and nature," said the producer Chinchua Films.

The characters in the film come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and their situations are varied: two brothers who do not speak to each other, a young boy who is lost direction, a "young girl who watches or wants to escape from that environment"...

The film stars Patxi Bisquert, Ramon Agirre, Iraiai Elias, Erika Olaizola and Laulad Ahmed Saleh. In the autumn of 2017 they carried out filming mainly in Gipuzkoa –Aginaga, Usurbil, Orio, San Sebastián, Zubieta and Oiartzun–, recording some scenes in Elcano de Eguesibar (Navarre).
