- Dozens of workers and citizens of the Alconza factory in Berango, led by the Irizar Group, have organized a camp on Monday 113 of the strike. They will be camping in the camp of the City Hall and in the church porticos until Thursday to protest against the 25 layoffs derived from the employment regulation dossier announced by the company last February and to enact an industrial plan that guarantees the viability of the plant.
On Monday, June 20, the strikers of Alconza spent 113 days protesting the "employment and future of the factory". For this reason, and on the occasion of the trial of dismissals on 28 June, a camp began in the vicinity of the town hall of Berango and the church, which will last until Thursday. They also made their appearance, to stress that no one is left in Alconza.
This company, which is part of the Irizar Group, dismissed 25 workers in April with the implementation of the employment regulation dossier announced in February. Thus, in addition to denouncing these layoffs, the Alconza stated that this is not only an attack on the workers of the company of Berango, "but against a region that over time sees the destruction of jobs and the dismantling of the industry".
On the day of the 113 strike, they again call on the Basque Government to take effective measures to ensure the enolfaction and future of @Alconza8.

Faced with the trial they will have before the Bilbao courts on 28 June, they regretted that their future will be in the hands of "unjust judges and laws" and denounced that, in general, labor legislation is "tailor-made for companies" and therefore "covers job losses and precariousness".
That is why, at the hearing on Monday, it was said that they did not want a court to decide its future and, in this sense, the company was again asked to revolutionize the situation and sit with the workers "to agree an industrial plan that guarantees the employment and future of the Alconza".
Finally, we were grateful for the support of the citizens and the agents who have joined in these months, "because this path is impossible if it is not possible to carry it out together". Thus, the names of 66 associations and agents from Berango and surroundings were read one by one and the citizens were invited to participate in the camp until Thursday. Furthermore, on 28 June, the day of the trial, the call for a concentration was announced before the courts in Bilbao.
