- Kalera Kalera has held a massive demonstration in favour of prisoners of eta imprisoned in Euskal Herria. They have announced this for the second day of the La Concha races.
The prisoners have left the street around 13:45 hours from Donostiarra Boulevard under the slogan "now is the time". Hundreds of people have crossed the city with a specific request, and have asked the PSOE Government to change prison policy.
“This is the most strongly supported transverse claim in Euskal Herria,” said Kizkitza Gil de San Vicente, representative of Kalera Kalera. Lehendakari has asked the Spanish Government to bring Basque prisoners and exiles to Euskal Herria prisons. In addition, he stressed that the Aiete declaration contained some commitments and that they have not yet been fulfilled. He stressed that the context has changed and that ETA has dissolved, so he asked the Socialist Party for "courage" to change prison policy.
Half an hour before the start of the march, the Pro-Amnesty and Anti-Repression Movement has manifested itself in the streets of the town. Under the motto Gudariak, total amnesty, they have called for the release of eta prisoners.
