The health crisis we are experiencing has hampered the daily lives of people living on the street. These people, who are in a vulnerable situation, have been left unprotected and in Donostia-San Sebastián they have started to create networks of volunteers to help the evicted.

In the New Plaza of the Old Part, a group of volunteers from the Old Part began a few weeks ago to bring a dinner to those who spend the night in their porticos. At first it was a group of seven people and each of them committed to cooking once a week. Now, they have formed a group of fourteen volunteers who prepare a dinner for about 25 people, each of whom takes charge once every two days.

In order to speed up the work of these colleagues and keep attending to these needs, they want to start a network of volunteers to prepare dinners in the neighborhood of Egia. Each volunteer will have to prepare a dinner for ten people and the food will be distributed in the immediate vicinity of the bus station. They insist on the need to expand the network, because together you can work better. People interested in becoming volunteers can write to egiazaintzasarea@gmail.com. They have announced that they will hold a meeting with the registrants to prepare the organisation.
