To analyze the “feasibility” of the project, the PNV communicated the decision to paralyze the Guggenheim Urdaibai for two years. The pause for “reflection” has lifted powders and criticized the management of the PNV by EH Senator Bildu and former Bermeo Mayor Idurre Cruces at the Saturday hearing in Gernika.

He points out that the decision taken by the PNV was a “collection of cables”, because he recalled that on Friday the PNV brought to the Basque Parliament a plan to promote the Busturialdea district, where the Guggenheim museum was not present: “That’s why we understand it’s a collection of cables. We cannot interpret it differently, because we remember that the PNV was presented to the municipal and foreign elections held a few months ago as the main project to revitalize Urdaibai Busturialdea.”

He adds that there has been a new “management crisis” in the party: “This is another example of an outdated management model, so we say that political innovation is more necessary than ever in this part of our country.”

EH Bildu members have asked the PNV for “more rigor and seriousness” and have given it the hand for “dialogue and agreement”. They have called for strategic projects that mark the economic and social future and have stressed the need to take decisions based on the needs of Busturialdea: “We are clear that the future of Busturialdea cannot be decided in New York. We live in a biosphere reserve and here we want to work and live.”
