The spokesman for the Africa United Association, Modou Faye Beltxa, has denounced that the case remains unresolved over five years: “Some details of the detention remain in the dark: Why did they stop her? How did he die by chance in the hands of the police?” As can be seen from the videos recorded by the witnesses, on 25 October 2017 the National Police arrested Ndiaye on Marzelo Zelaieta Street in Pamplona. He was brutally thrown to the ground and immobilized for several minutes, until he was dragged. An hour later, he was dead at the police station General Chinchilla. The following day, the medical cause determined that the neighbor of Arrotxapea, of Senegalese origin, died "from natural causes".
Justice and compensation
“We have never believed the official version,” Fay said at a press conference. He accused the Spanish State of wanting to silence the case, “but Africa United will not allow it. We demand justice and reparation. We will not give in to the blackmail, nor to the obstacles that put us on the road.” He explained that a family member from Ndiaye filed a complaint against the National Police and that as a result a process was initiated to pay compensation to the family. But today Ndiaye's widow has no information about the process: “The widow and children of Elhadji know nothing, they have no money to buy a pen.” It has called on United Africa to compensate the family and to “do justice and clarify the case”.
