The Salto has published interviews with several Ertzainas and has announced that the possibility of creating an association such as Jusapol, the ultra-protective society of the Civil Guard and the Spanish Police is being studied.
The Salto gets an audio exchange in a Whatsapps group between the ertzainas, one of them with the ertzaines of an Intxaurrondo civil guard. The civil guard is a member of the Jucil association (branch of Jusápoles) and tries to convince the Ertzainas to create a similar association. To do so, in case of suspension of salary, he explains to several Ertzainas the "advantages" of being affiliated with an association such as Jusapol, continue to charge a year of salary or legal advice.
The civil guard insists that it is also an instrument for greater strength in the negotiations and, in passing, proposes as a way of leaving out traditional trade unions: "Create a partnership, and so we eliminate these irreverents."
The Salto has underlined that these proposals have received no opposition in this Whatsapp group. They have even talked about possible votes for the creation of a partnership.
The problem lies at the base
"Everything has exploded, and we are concerned that in the Spanish National Police, in the Civil Guard and in the Mossos similar steps are also taken in the Ertzaintza and authoritarian messages are walking", says Tomás Rodríguez, spokesman of ELA in the Ertzaintza.Respecto to the last controversy raised in the heart of the Tzaintz. "On the one hand, the criteria for choosing ertzaines are not at all plural, either ideologically or culturally. On the other hand, the formations received by the Ertzainas do not address basic issues such as fundamental human rights and social and labour rights".
