Thanks to Joxe Mari Auzmendi
  • The phone call we received yesterday at noon brings us to our head, and we get sad news. Joxe Mari Auzmendi Hik left us the soul of Hasi and the important pieces of many of the projects carried out by the Azpeitia City Hall.

We've known Joxe Mari for years. He loved Euskal Herria and the people. Its objective was to understand education, the citizens of the school, play, participation, the Basque and our culture, the transformation of education.

In recent years we have gone several times to Hik Hasi asking about one thing and another to improve in our people through projects that start from education. Joxe Mari has always opened the doors of Hik Hasi and has always been willing to lend a helping hand, to help us and to accompany us.

Always humble, always smiling, always with illusion. We have known that. In recent months and days, even in the toughest moments, he has not neglected his smile and his desire to work. I always had some new idea. Time and time again he told us that it is “great” what you are doing. It pushed us a lot.

This is an important project carried out in collaboration with the schools of Azpeitia and Hik Hasi, with the aim of making the history of Azpeitia more attractive to the youngest.

This is an important project carried out in collaboration with the schools of Azpeitia and Hik Hasi, with the objective of making the history of Azpeitia more attractive to the youngest. Joxe Mari was from the beginning in the town hall and in the schools of the town, bringing his knowledge and experience and driving the project.

The tireless driver of popular construction, in recent years, has united us the work within the philosophy of the educating people. Together with Joxe Mari Agirretxe, they have always accompanied us. We are doing the people, we have the objective of educating in values; in equality, in solidarity, from the Basque and the Basque… and we will continue in it.

The moment when we were the last comes to mind. A couple of weeks ago we were together and as we always fired ourselves from a hug. We have nothing more to do with dreaming and working.

The Azpeitia City Hall and the town of Azpeitia have much to thank Joxe Mari. And we hug and encourage family, friends and relatives.
