Although it was more than three weeks ago, what happened on February 1 at the doors of a nightclub on Manterola Street in San Sebastian is spreading in recent days: A 32-year-old resident of San Sebastián, Karen Daniela Ágredo, reported that after some agents of the Basque Country attacked her, she ended up in the ICU, detecting a cerebral edema and an intracardiac hematoma.
The Minister of Security of the Basque Government, Bingen Zupiria, has announced that for the moment no action will be taken in relation to the case. Although the woman's state of health is "delicate," she argues that they still have no security or certainty about the events of that night. Zupiria explains that it is the responsibility of the Security Department to carry out all the interventions of the Basque Government in accordance with the "established procedure" and explains that three investigations have been launched in relation to the incident in Manterola Street "to help clarify the matter".
Ágredo denounced that at the door of a nightclub his partner had an altercation with another man, which led to the Basque Government taking away his boyfriend. When the woman began to complain to the agents, one of them hit her head after pushing and she became unconscious. He was then taken to the police station, where officers continued beating him until he was taken to the hospital.
The security minister has not specified anything more about these three investigations, only that the woman was taken to the police station for a "resistance and attack" against the border guards.
