From one state to another, from one economic and political system to another, within the nation and ethnicity of minorities, problems take different forms. The same national problem is not the same in Yugoslavia, France or Spain.

When we have a state organization and more than one nation within it, different from each other, what can be the best behavior: to free each nation from carrying out its own state institution? To continue together in the same state as a federation or confederation?

Perhaps that is why it is necessary to communicate clearly the concrete objectives and to make them known to all. On the self-determination of nations, as the right to freedom as a State of foreign national associations is understood, the creation of sovereign national States is understood. And knowing that in the Spanish State we live in the midst of the lack of democracy, the steps to be taken must be well measured.

The Basque Basque Basque Left – or Antonio Gramsci, as the Italian writer would say “the historic Basque Left” – has demonstrated in the last forty years that he knows how to fight, and now he also has to be a teacher in politics.

In the immense political “democracy” of fifty years, the authority of public functions has been and is a privilege of an old caste.

Society has been led to believe that public management, in addition to specific training, needs a lot of experience, strong and reliable people, such as them, and I have seen a lot of corruption for a long time.

It is about creating new times and we are adapting to them. Until now, Basque society, whether it is or not, has had a clear and secure reference in recent decades: And. It's a difficult authority, but it's also strong. It couldn't be controlled, but it was an absolute authority. What could be fully recognized as an authority and could be fully identified with it, even if it did not belong…

Now? It's pretty easy to follow the leaders. To see what they are and what they walk, and at what speed yes or no, although they compete, they have not become the clear reference that people needed and that they have. Perhaps society is wrong and asks them for the impossible. Or you need another person to push it up.

It is true that these are different times, but even today the president needs the same endowments of always, sincere, clear and precise.

It is true that the enemy – the Spanish State – has many times put most of the furniture in our kitchen upside down and it has not been easy to organise a rich dish. The truth is good, but I believe that the party that forms the Left Abertzale, which was locked in the chamber “before”, must bring to light the “fusion” that has been given with the new forces, which, unfortunately, has not been well understood.

It is true that the situation has changed a great deal, but freedom has always been achieved only through long and hard fights. So, in one way or another, it's a revolution and when you get it, it's a party. Then – I do not know when – but when public holidays pass, national feelings start to temper. Perfectly normal. The new problems will soon appear, and things that were once as important, like national languages, are given less importance.

That impasse is not just a matter for politicians, but it is true and that is why it is better for the accounts to come out on time. Because it is true that in the oppressed people there are not too many opportunities to recover what is lost in the national language. Today, Castilian is stepping on the Basque. That is why we hear that we have to be tolerant of those who know nothing but the language of the oppressor. You don't have to ask too much. But perhaps having more opportunities can mean less enthusiasm. And because they say that they want it, that they can't, that it's hard, that it's not that important.

If I said before that knowledge of the light and of the concrete objective is indispensable, now, delving deeper into it, I will look again at the state.

It is essential to know and understand what civil society thinks. Civil society is not a hermetic unit, it is classified into a thousand forms, groups and social levels.

Experience shows that the understanding, work and strength of the group that lives under the acronym are necessary, inserted directly. In this way, solid work can provide the support and impetus of society, enabling the assumption of political authority.

According to the objectives, the creation of a State requires theory, theories, intelligence and ingenuity.

The reason is clear; if culture opens up horizons, it opens up knowledge, knowledge, paths.
