The Basaizea association of Baigorri, the Youth Assembly of Baztan and some young people of Erratzu have many objectives: Break the border that separates both sides of the Basque Country; foster mutual knowledge; offer the Basque a new breathing space and others. On this occasion they will settle in a festive atmosphere, organizing the festivities of Izpegi. On 22 and 23 September they passed through the Izpegi hill.
A talk on cross-border relations of the time and the present will take place on Friday at the Bera Sale. However, they have drawn up a full day and night programme for Saturday. In the morning a mountain march will depart from Baigorri to Izpegi. At 11 a.m. a cycling climb will be made to the hill of Izpegi, starting from the square of the church of Baigorri. At the same time there will be children's games on the neck of Izpegi.
Then, among other activities, the central event will take place at 13:00 hours, with an animated popular meal, which will have to be attended before. From 22:30 there will be concerts: Group tolosarra Mirua, mungiarras TOC and DJ Üzkülüz.
In order to ensure safety, a bus service has also been organised from both Baigorri and Elizondo and Erratzu. The bus will depart from Elizondo at 10:00, 12:00 and 19:00, also passing through Erratzu. To return, buses will depart at 20:30, 03:00 and 06:00 from the Izpegi collado and after a stop at Erratzu they will head to Elizondo. The same service will be provided to Baigorri. The bus will depart from Baigorri at 11:00, 13:00 and 20:00 and the bus will return at 19:30, 02:00 and 05:00.
