Isolation had already been established in the lands of northern Italy, but the movement of means of transport and police forces was maintained. Although no further details have yet been disclosed, the Italian company has announced that it will suspend all flights in the north of the country.
However, isolation has exceptions. For health or work reasons, they will be able to access “red areas” provided that controls are passed at stations, airports or roads. Those who do not test positive or are not in quarantine may enter but not leave. Failure to comply with the law may result in a penalty of three months in prison or a fine of EUR 206.
366 deaths and more than 7,000 people infected are in Italy, the country with the most coronavirus outside China's borders. In the last 24 hours alone, 133 people have died.
Globally, more than 110,200 people have been affected by the virus, with 3,840 deaths. However, in total, 62,095 people have been re-wounded. China remains the majority of cases and deaths, but there are already more new cases occurring outside its borders than those occurring in its home territory.
