The video of the events that caused the uproar last week is last summer, as the Department of Security of the Basque Government has pointed out. However, the Ertzaintza has not taken any action until the video unleashes the networks. EiTB has pointed out that the Ertzaintza began the investigation after the dissemination of the video to analyze the behavior of the police officers present.

The video shows how a man discusses with a group of police and ertzainas in the San Miguel de Irún neighborhood. You hear this person accusing agents that instead of being in control they should "look for bad people." At a certain point, one of the Ertzaines throws a heavy blow to the ground and then the ten police officers around him leave the man on the ground.

The ertzaina that hit him has been removed from his job for the time being as a precautionary measure, according to information from EiTB. The Internal Affairs Unit of the Ertzaintza is handling the matter and, in addition to the actions of the Ertzainas present, the behaviour of the agents is being investigated.
