The Government of Navarra is also going to be very tight and they are the winners of the survey. According to the Diario de Navarra, Navarra Suma will overcome a significant rise, but it will not be able to govern without the approval of the PSN, which rejected the proposal. The party of María Chivite would be the second fuerza.En the News Journal, on the contrary, the forces of change have barely 25 seats in the Basque Parliament, totaling 50. Obviously, there are some similarities in the surveys, but it is clear that each one goes by its side.
The highest risk is recorded in the City Hall of Pamplona/Iruña
Competition is very close in the two most important institutions in Navarre, but there is one factor that complicates the situation of the City Hall: four leftist parties are presented: EH Bildu, Aranzadi, Left Ezkerra and Podemos. According to the EiTB Focus survey, EH Bildu would gain a significant increase of almost five percentage points, from five to seven seats, while Gipuzkoa would drop by 1.8%. In this respect, the result is very strong. The problem lies in the other three political parties, as if they were to go together they could get 13% of the votes and there would be no problem with re-electing Joseba Asiron, but each on their side would be very tight to reach 5% of the votes needed to have a councillor, especially Left and Podemos.
In the City Hall of Pamplona/Iruña there are 24 seats, so UPN and PSN can get 14, unless the left vote of the three non-Basque parties meets in one or two of them. The surveys have generated a lot of noise on social networks, and in them, the Abertzale area has strengthened Joseba Asiron’s request for a vote.
This Monday at 19:00 hours the candidates of Navarra Suma, EH Bildu, Geroa Bai, PSN, Aranzadi, Ezkerra and Podemos will have a debate on the 56th street barefoot, organized by the AZ Initiative of the Casco Viejo de Pamplona.
