The incidents were recorded yesterday in the neighbourhood as a result of the closure order of the gaztetxe de la Rochapea, which attacked hundreds of young people who protested. As explained in a press conference offered in the neighborhood by the gaztetxe assembly on Friday morning, 50 young people were injured by the National Police, one of them was taken to the hospital and more than 150 were identified.

On the one hand, to denounce the eviction of gaztetxe and police involvement, and on the other, to defend spaces such as gaztetxe, they have called a demonstration for next Saturday 11: He will leave the Plaza de los Enamados at 18:00 hours, under the motto 'No organization or space'. Young people have stated that “we must organise our solidarity to ensure a real defense of the spaces, increasingly. We will continue to organize in the face of evictions outside the logic and control of the institutions.” They have also referred to current capitalist society: “In this, the legal criterion for the use of spaces is the size of the pocket”.

As you have explained at a press conference, it is now five years since the occupation of this gaztetxe. After yesterday’s eviction, the building began to be demolished and, as reported by the City Council of Pamplona/Iruña, houses will be built there. The young people have emphasized that “these types of spaces are necessary in the neighborhood and that before or after they will coincide”.
