The Memory Group of Oñati Seguro Bazterrak reports on the progress made on 25 June 1990 in the Lumbier foz. Two ETA members were killed that day and, according to the official version, committed suicide as they were caught. But ETA and many citizens never believed and defended that the Civil Guard had tortured and killed.

In January 2022, the memorial group Tours Bazterrak launched the investigation with writer and journalist Pako Aristi. They learned that on that day two buses filled with children from Vitoria went to Lumbier and in September they began to look for these children. The memory group reports that they have managed to talk to some children.

Other advances in research. Among other things, by talking to the protagonists of the time they have achieved "important clues". Some Dutch tourists were also in Lumbier that day and contact one of them. They examine "all the details" of the summary and stress that "contradictions are obvious".

On 25 June, there was a shooting in the Lumbier pit between the Civil Guard and three ETA members. Sergeant Hervas was killed by his ethnic groups and ETA member German Rubenach appeared alive but with a shot in the head. The following day, the oñatiar Susana Arrangi and andoaindarra Jon Lizarralde were killed in the canyon. I had two shots in my head and Lizarralde one.
