Yesterday the Hearing’s response to the Iruña–Veleia ruling by Lurmen was known. As this is a state matter, and as in all other Spanish State matters, they have reassured the administration, against citizenship; that is, they have not even taken into account Lurmen’s claims and arguments to the 2020 ruling, not one.

There are still those who expected something “from the hand of justice”, from the hand of that “justice” of the states that we have been pursuing for five centuries to make our People and our language of the map disappear. From this system that is imposing upon us from the Inquisition (now, remember: Young people from Alsasua, I support thousands of torturers, re-evaluate a case that has already been tried and condemned…) which is why we expect little. We see nothing but “head by neck”.

For those who want to know the summary of the issue:

(a) The person conducting the physical evidence analyses

– The only physical-chemical report that says they are false was produced by the laboratory of the IPCE of Madrid, an organization that promotes late Euskaldunization. This same house also fake the Romanesque cloister of Catalonia Mas del Vent. However, the University was attentive and timely and the thesis of “falsification” was scientifically opposed. As a result, the Romanesque cloister, declared “false”, is today regarded as a genuine Romanesque and has the Patrimonial Protection of the Generalitat. Here and there, it seems that the IPCE has acted against the heritage of Euskal Herria and Catalonia.

– This laboratory does not perform dating, it is not known in this field.

--His technicians had no experience in this work, it was his first time. The analytical work began with 4 or 5 IPCE technicians, but only one, the geologist Navarro, signed the report and the conclusions favorable to counterfeiting are his own. Why just one, where were the others? It is now based on the report of that only technician to make the judge feel false.

(b) Method used

– The research method used by Navarro is not used by anyone in the world and the scientific value of the work is doubtful. Note that it does not use “contrast pieces”, which is fundamental in science.

“It says 36 pieces are fake (there are 400 in total).

-The defense of the lands demonstrated in the judgment that the presence of modern metals is not necessarily a proof of the modern execution of graphites; it showed that more than 20 different metallic alloys appear; it demonstrated that these different microscopic splinters, depending on their size and shape, cannot have been created in ceramics for the performance of graffiti, but can come from cleaning instruments or from the calibrator and/or other metal tools used. These possible variables were not taken into account, incredible when it comes to doing science.

(c) They do not want to use the 4 scientific avenues to clarify these kinds of issues

– Making data in laboratories of European prestige with extensive experience

– Perform controlled tastings to see if similar grafts can appear

– Auditing the archaeological work done. Edward Harris spent the whole morning analyzing Lurmen's archeological work and said it was OK, but he asked for an audit, along with the datations and the chains.

– Scientific debate: at the moment, all the arguments in favour of falsehood are denied thanks to the more than 20 reports made, and the advocates of falsehood have not been able to deal with them.

d) They have turned their back on many of the things we saw and heard in court

– The museum’s skilled staff, with many years of experience, exposing some pieces in the court itself and asking their opinion, stated that the pieces presented to them were real for them. Is that not as important as Navarro's?

– The Museum Technicians stated that they were cleaning the pieces from the site of Iruña Veleia, for cleaning the second box of pieces, a separate graphite was found; informed of the finding, they were ordered not to clean any more and leave the remaining 18 boxes uncleaned. That was declared before the judge by the technicians, but nobody moved…

We will continue to fight for the truth. They want us to allow ourselves to be false, they want us to impose, or else they want us to impose the shadow of the prison sentence. We only ask for what we always have to do: to make true and impartial data.
