Open the walk between Irun and Hendaia after two years
- In January 2021, the French Government closed the walk between the two peoples. The request for openness has been reiterated by institutions, associations and social movements, and on this occasion it has been accepted by the French Government.

On Monday at 6:00, the fence that prevented pedestrian crossing between Irun and Hendaia was removed. In this action were the mayors of Irun and Hendaia, José Antonio Santano and Kotte Ecenarro, as Mediabask has gathered.
The Prefect of the Atlantic Pyrenees has often been called upon to extend the walk between the two peoples, but has so far been denied. What was closed in January 2021 has finally spread in July 2023.
