The young people who have created the medium express that a void pushes them to this work, as through the screens they receive practically references in Spanish: "As a generation that has been educated on the Internet, this world that has spread to us over the years in front of screens has caused us great discomfort. In fact, the spaces in which young people are strengthened on the Internet, on Instagram, on Twitter, on Youtube, on blogs or on the Internet are dominated by editors from outside our country. The young people of Ipar Euskal Herria have, in addition to the screen, French voices and writings, and in most cases they are also English or Spanish, rather than Basque".

For the young generation, the Internet is the main source of information and in this scenario will be Bada, directed to the young people of Iparralde: "Through Iparralde's productions, we have found resources to start creating content that fits the formats consumed on social networks." The content will be disseminated initially on Instagram and Facebook, and for the future, in collaboration with other media from Ipar Euskal Herria, they want to disseminate more content on different platforms: twitter, youtube, spotify…

Main objectives

Bada’s main objective is to inform young people from a young perspective: "The editorial line will be based on the different points of interest of young people, always with the objective of promoting and supporting equality through ecologist, feminist, Euskalzale, popular, anti-racist initiatives..."

It is about encouraging young people to use the media of Ipar Euskal Herria and to train in the media, journalism and knowledge of the territory. To this end, they have organized courses and created a network of collaborators with which new places, contacts and knowledge of the area will be made available.
